Valentine Concert - Heartfelt thanks for your support

Capital Chorus would like to thank everyone who came to support our recent Valentine Showtime concert at St Barnabas Church in North Ealing.

We had a very enjoyable evening and the appreciative comments we received from those who saw the show only added to the pleasure of singing for a large and enthusiastic audience. The evening also provided an opportunity for us to try out some new songs. They included the old-time classic "Jeepers Creepers", which we'll be performing at this year's British Association of Barbershop Singers' convention at Harrogate in May. We also had a chance to premiere our own take on the familiar folk song "Drunken Sailor".  For those who thought we might really be drunk halfway through the song we promise that we were only acting - honest!

We would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to our guests for the evening, Vocal Dimension Chorus and Tagline Quartet.  Their performances added verve, excitement and an unrivalled quality to the evening. Both vocal groups will be representing the UK at international singing contests in the United States later this year. We wish them well.

The next appearances for Capital Chorus will be on Sunday April 24th, when we'll be singing to support runners along the route of the London Marathon, and then on Saturday 14th May, when we take part in the London Sangerstevne festival at St Sepulchre's Church in Holborn.

Hope to see you there.
