Vic Riley

Vic was born in Oswestry, Shropshire and spent most of his working life in Merseyside before moving to London in 2004. A varied  career  -  an engineer officer in the Merchant Navy, an intended  temporary  “fill in” job selling life insurance that filled in  for nine years and then secondary school teaching until retirement.

Capital Chorus was joined after the 2011 Learn to Sing Course. He says that  his only previous singing experience was singing bawdy sea songs in the navy and , after being press ganged  into the staff choir at an all boys catholic school in Liverpool, religious music sung in Latin.

He says that singing with Capital Chorus is far more fun than one of his previous singing experiences but he won't say which one!!!

Interests, other than Capital Chorus, include motor caravanning, canal narrow boating and cosmopolitan cooking.
